SpeedRun Chinese is a Mandarin practice app. This page explains how your data is used to deliver the experience. We will update it when paid tiers open.

Sign-in (Replit Auth)

When you create an account, sign-in is handled by Replit Auth. It gives us the email address and name from the identity provider you sign in with, and we use those to identify your account and reach you about it.

AI features (Anthropic)

Some features use AI. When you use one, the text you send is passed to Anthropic’s API, which generates the response. That text includes the questions you ask in Explain, the answers you give during background intake, the follow-ups you ask while reading, and the sentences you type into Forge. No personal or account data is sent to Anthropic.

AI features are optional. The app works without them: you can study the words, the audio, the tones, and the offline Forge with no text sent to Anthropic.

Cookies

We set a session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep your data

Your account data stays while your account exists. When you ask us to delete it, we remove your progress and account records from the database.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your data, and you can ask us to delete it. Self-service export and deletion are on the way. Until they ship, email support@speedrunchinese.com and we will handle the request by hand.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data to anyone. The app carries no advertising.
